Can I launch my brand on Amazon at low prices without delivery capabilities?

The company I represent is specialized in food. The specificity of our business is that we have a wide range of products, at low prices. We don’t know if Amazon is relevant to our activity. Also, we don’t have the possibility to ensure the delivery to the final customer. We would like to try selling on Amazon, but we are not sure that our products and our inability to deliver would allow it. What do you think about it?

Answer from our expert on Amazon

This situation is encountered by many brands on Amazon. Sandrine’s situation requires a precise profitability analysis based on her offer. However, we can give you a start. If Sandrine’s product range is mainly low-priced, the Seller Central’s FBA or Vendor Central model is the most suitable because she does not know how to manage delivery to the final customer. On Seller Central, this will require the creation of a batch and the adjustment of its offer so that it is economically profitable for neither Amazon nor Sandrine. On Vendor Central, we can also create “virtual” bundles to increase the customer’s average basket. In any case, and according to our experience, brands with a product range with a low selling price (less than 10€) must ask themselves certain strategic questions before launching, otherwise, they may not make any sales on Amazon.
